Honoring HER: A birthday letter to the woman who inspired my path

Today is my mama’s birthday and I want to take a moment — not as The Wellness Architect, but as her daughter — to honor the woman who gave me everything.

I am filled with gratitude. Gratitude that she is still alive after having almost died multiple times. Gratitude for her love, belief, presence and support. Her love, laughter, and joy are contagious — her love of flowers and beauty inspiring. Witnessing her growth and transformation has been miraculous and astounding. I am amazed by her courage and perseverance… to continue to choose to rise even when challenges abound. She is a true Aries; fierce, fast, and the strongest woman I have ever known…

The Queen of Flowers, Hearts, and Love

This past Sunday we went to Easter service together, then wandered through one of our favorite parks — slow and unhurried — breathing in the blossoms. If you know my mom, you know: she can spend hours in the presence of flowers. She doesn't just admire beauty. She creates it wherever she goes.

She brings love, joy, and laughter into every room she enters. She is fierce and fast — a true Aries — and the strongest woman I have ever known.

She is also the woman who, without knowing it, changed the entire direction of my life.

She Is the Reason I Do This Work

Watching my mama navigate a broken healthcare system broke something open in me.

Referred from expert to expert — still without answers, still without being truly heard — she grew more confused, more disempowered, more lost. The woman I had always drawn strength from began to feel powerless and unseen. And I couldn't accept it.

I started asking questions no one else was asking. Why wasn't diet and lifestyle part of the conversation? Why wasn't sheat the center of her own healing? Each person is different. We cannot lump everyone experiencing the same symptoms into a box and expect a single answer to be the end of the story.

The research was there. The evidence was compelling. But the system wasn't designed to honor the individual — her unique body, her unique experience, her unique knowing. So I went looking for something different. Something that put her back at the center.

My Mama Was My First Client

She was the first proof of concept for The Embodied Wellness Method.

I cooked her meals. I prepared her tonics and healing foods. I sat beside her when the doctors had no answers, and listened to her body when no one else knew how. And it wasn't just nutrition that brought her back.

It was nourishment — physical, energetic, emotional, spiritual. It was breath. It was belief. It was the remembrance of her body's own power to heal. And when she remembered — just like the phoenix — she rose.

"I'm here because of you." — My Beautiful Mama

Healing isn't something we do. It's something we remember.

What Her Healing Taught Me

That moment became the seed of everything I now teach. The foundation of The Embodied Wellness Method. The proof that when we reconnect to the innate intelligence of the body, miracles are not the exception — they are the expression of truth.

Today, I get to witness women step into that same remembrance — healing their bodies, reclaiming their power, and rising into the radiant health that has always been their birthright.

This work began with her. It continues because of you.

You are meant to remember. You are meant to rise.

Happy Birthday, Mama. You are my anchor, my best friend, and my forever reason.
